Figura - Sculpting and Drawing the Human Figure

This is the result of a live-model, 5 day figure clay sculpting and drawing workshop led by Sanne van Tongeren and Ilse Nass. I also used the sculpture to learn a bit of Reality Capture to scan the 1/4th scale piece :)

I really enjoyed this one and also learned a lot about gesture and how to observe gesture and proportions.

The workshop approached a single pose from two disciplines: drawing and sculpting from live models.
Keeping in line with the workshop’s main focus the figure is blocked in to facilitate accurate representation of gesture and proportions.
